ffide is built on the Insurance Commission roster as the foundation layer. The design is extensible — regulators, professional bodies, carriers, and certification bodies each have a distinct attestation track that can be surfaced on an advisor's public profile.
Partner attestation features are on the roadmap. This page explains what each track means and what the integration would entail. If your organization is interested, reach out.
The Insurance Commission of the Philippines is the primary authority for ffide. Every professional in the directory is here because the IC published their license — not because they paid a fee, filled out a form, or self-submitted credentials.
The IC-Listed badge is the baseline attestation. It is present on every professional whose license is currently active on the IC roster. It is removed automatically the next time the import runs if a license lapses, is delisted, or is no longer published by the IC. No manual override exists in either direction.
This integration is live. All other partner tracks described on this page are forward-looking — they extend the foundation the IC provides.
Professional associations and awards organizations can surface their own recognition on a member's ffide profile as a “Member / Recognized” attestation. This is independent of the IC license — it signals affiliation or achievement within the advisory community, not regulatory status.
The intended model is that the partner organization confirms active membership or recognition status through a defined API or data feed. ffide displays the attestation on the advisor's profile, linked to the partner organization, with the attestation date visible. If a membership lapses, the badge is removed on the next sync.
This is not a paid placement. Membership and recognition status must come from the organization's own authoritative records — not self-reported by the advisor.
Insurance companies, HMOs, and investment houses licensed to operate in the Philippines can attest to an advisor's active distribution relationship with them. This is a Carrier-attested layer that sits on top of the IC license — it signals that the carrier has contracted with and recognizes the advisor as an active selling partner.
Note that IC license records already include the carrier name — so an advisor's licensed carrier affiliations are already visible from the registry data alone. Carrier attestation is a separate, higher-signal layer: it means the carrier itself has confirmed the relationship through ffide's integration, not that it was inferred from the IC roster.
The intended model is a secure carrier API endpoint or data export that ffide polls on a defined schedule. If an advisor is de-activated by the carrier, the attestation is removed on the next sync.
Professional designations indicate a higher level of technical training beyond the IC license. A Certified attestation on an advisor's profile means the certification body has confirmed — through ffide's integration — that the designation is current and the advisor is in good standing.
As with other attestation tracks, Certified badges are not self-reported. The certification body is the authoritative source. If a designation expires or is revoked, the attestation is removed on the next sync from the certification body's records.
The goal is to surface designations that consumers would recognise as meaningful signals of additional expertise — particularly in financial planning and estate work.
